RICOCHET (P.Connolly) 3.27
Brilliant disguise

Didn’t see it coming, it came a quite a blow
When she looked me in the eye
How was I supposed to know?
Felt like I was dreaming & I tried to look away
Till she whispered “Hallo gorgeous!
My name is Ricochet”…

Thought that I was done for, tried to grab a drink
Only see her once before, she was dressed in pink
She said “Is that your horse outside”
I said “The black or grey”? She said
“If you come for a ride with me, you’ll really make my day”

Ricochet! Ricochet! I never though I’d live to see the day
Ricochet! Ricochet! Be careful if you go the other way

It was like a bolt of lightening, she swept me off my feet
I began to fall in love with her just riding down the street
I was chasing happy, I don’t care what people say
I’ve been getting nothing, well not since early May

Taught me how to Rumba, taught me how to sing
How to do the Boogaloo, how to do my thing
Showed me how to win when I was on a losing game
How to sink a bottle & still pronounce her name

Ricochet! Ricochet! I never though I’d live to see the day
Ricochet! Ricochet! Be careful if you go the other way

But when she took her clothes off, well I got quite a shock
She shopped around the corned & she chased me round the block
Down to Brighton Station & I jumped up on the train
Saw her standing in the distance, she was screaming out my name

I’m changing my direction, I’ve been kinda lost
I thought she was the girl for me, I got my wires crossed
But I know where I’m going, I got nothing to defend
Back off to Australia yeah that’ll be the end of

Ricochet! Ricochet! I never though I’d live to see the day
Ricochet! Ricochet! Careful if you go the other way
