A LITTLE SATISFACTION (P.Connolly) 3.36
A successful divorce

That woman nearly broke me down, she gave me some stick
I had to walk away from all her stupid lies & dirty tricks
Walked into a motel bar & took myself a drink
Stayed in there till closing time till I couldn’t think

What good did it do me? Not much I would say
A little satisfaction to take me on my way

So I ran for cover to my single bed
Had to leave the country to get that girl out of my head
Divided up the furniture & sorted out the loft
Gave her all the memories showed her I’m not soft

What good did it do me? I don’t really know
Just a little satisfaction, I just had to go

Saw her in Australia with a wine glass in her hand
She said ‘Why don’t we get hitched again?’ I failed to understand
So I flew back to England over Singapore & Spain
And it’s slightly unlightly that I‘ll see her again

What good it do me? A good deal I would say
And a little satisfaction to help me on my way

Maybe I’m being tough on her she’s human all the same
Someone must have hurt her when they removed her brain
She’s fading from my memory but I still shake my head
At the other end of the planet in my double bed
